Yikes. Relative to average. SW BC had the coldest (least warm) January in the entire country. The warmth has been centered in the east
North end of Shawnigan Lake. Southern Vancouver island. 500ft

I spoke to a local resident up here has been in this area for many Winters and he said this is one of the least cold Winters he can remember. There has been countless days where the temperature has been above zero when normally those days in the middle of winter can be counted on one hand or two

My family lives in the Shuswap area and say this year has been the lowest snow accumulation in the last 10 years. They said they have never seen so many days of rain without it falling as snow. They have almost no snow cover.
