I'm sorry but it absolutely is over on his prediction of 5-10 cm for lower elevations.
He seems like a nice a guy and his enthusiasm is fun. But his forecasts are massively overrated by some. I've always watched his actual success rate, and it's no better than most here.
To be fair, he did say his totals were for the duration of the event into Monday. Not Sunday morning.
But ya, it seems like a fail.

Drive from Richmond to Surrey, Richmond snow rain mix, after the tunnel it’s snow/rain also however grass has accumulation on it. After coming up the hill on 120th and getting near 96ave it’s almost a white out. Accumulation on pavement in the neighbourhood and on grass

I woke up to a skiff of snow, but that quickly melted. It's still snowing lightly, but not sticking. Currently +2.2C and my low was 0.0C.

That's true, but I think how things were looking this morning was a pretty clear sign of what was to come.
I take no pleasure in it, but today is a bust.

To be honest, the general trend in the models over the past few days had been in a decidedly skimpier direction, and few of the recent high-resolution runs had shown BLI and YXX getting nothing at all. The observed outcome so far is well within modeled parameters.
It's called clown range for a reason.

I wish EC would have regional forecasts. The snowfall warning only seems to apply to areas above 300m. Westwood Plateau and Burnaby Mountain.
Areas between 100-200m are seeing periodic wet snows but not really posing any threat on the roads.

Popcorn clouds out on the water.
1.4c at my place now. Warmed from 0.9c this morning. It sure would be nice to have -1c instead. Always seems to be 1c and trying to snow.

Higher terrain could mean 500m?

At 85m of elevation here and still lightly snowing. Not really accumulating anymore, but the kids had fun. There was just enough snow to make a little snow monster.
