Very spotty data over the last few years and it looks like it's been decommissioned as of last August. You can have a look at the historical data back to 1965 though.
Interesting stuff. Thanks Typeing. First glance definitely shows how spotty records are. I have doubts such as 200cm snow depth Nov1 1984. Hmmm.
50 cm all time 24 hrs snowfall Dec 96 I believe.
98 cm average per year.
Burnaby Mountain @ 365 m..

Stats? Fresh out of those. But I win anyway. I got all the inches.

Certainly not in the flats of Cloverdale. Must have been the higher parts. Lower elevations got basically nothing.

I'm sure we will get more this time. Unfortunately, I still don't expect it to be much. We shall see.

As someone else mentioned before it’s a shame there are zero weather stations anywhere in the LM over 100m. You would think having a major university right on the same mountain would provide a unique opportunity to have something, even if it is unofficial.
Yes, the entire lower mainland is quite pathetic in terms of weather stations, webcams, traffic cams or any other type of monitoring type stations. Even Calgary has more high quality stations of these types. Vancouver is a city suffering from introvertism, it doesn't like to share.

Especially given our microclimates here. Westwood Plateau is a completely different climate zone yet from what I can tell, we have zero stations up there with up to date data. :?

Seeing Hope at -2C at 3pm in a sunny afternoon without a deep arctic airmass is unreal. Looks encouraging for the Valley.

Models seem to indicate a stronger offshore surface flow tomorrow which could mean more snow than rain at SL.

Problem is that models keep going back and forth in terms of available moisture Sunday night.

12Z runs had 10-15cm through Monday. 18Z runs are back to 3-5cm.

No consistency whatsoever. :?

I have a feeling this snow will depend on the cooling now as the sun goes down vs how fast the cloud cover happens.
