Re: January 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Hope this wasn’t already posted but good description of the setup
The pros are not on the same page. Weatherpro says wet bulb will play a big part. Tyler Hamilton says No. limited evaporational cooling. The plot thickens.

BOOM goes the Bellingham dynamite!
WeatherPro wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 11:26 pm There is a little something else going on which may bring something exciting next week. Yes, it may involved more snow, perhaps a lot. Keeping watch on it. Bellingham should do well with this storm as well.

To me it looks like a Burnaby Mountain, Catnip and Hound special....Monty wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 8:38 am Hope this wasn’t already posted but good description of the setup

Re: January 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Here is the 24 hour snowfall predicted by GEM Global ending at 4 pm Sunday. Notice the 10-15 cm forecast for much of Vancouver Island and mostly 2-5 cm for the mainland. Of course doubt whether the snow will get down close to sea level, totals may only be for higher elevations.
By the way, my Nimbus account hasn't been working for a while so I created this one!

Re: January 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Thanks Nito.
However, these specials seem to be getting harder to achieve in recent years. These setups used to be almost guaranteed snowfalls around here. Not so much anymore. Although this one looks like it has a better chance of verifying.
