It’s been a while since this location missed out on a good low elevation snow event, hoping to continue that streak. For a location below 100m, I’ve seen it snowing here and raining on places like the Upper Levels highway. Seems like it’s sandwiched right in the sweet spot of outflow and onshore flow.

Where you here in 1996? From about Seattle northward, there was so much snow that it was surreal.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Wouldn't surprise me. I often don't do well in cold onshore flow setups.

Abbotsford does best when there is already arctic air entrenched or moisture meets up with an incoming arctic front forming a convergence zone.

No unfortunately I was in Portland during that time, which majorly busted. :lol:

Look at the 500mb pattern March 5th and 6th 1951.

Abbotsford recorded 63.5cm of snow in 48 hours. There was heavy snow prior and after that two day special as well. 102.6cm over 5 days.
