GEM to the rescue. Not sure im buying what the GFS is selling but its frustrating that this trend just keeps chipping away at anything good. Only one frame of snow now on the 12Z.

500mb pattern looks relatively the same. The finer details are emerging...never good to look at snow maps 144HR and beyond. Just setting yourself up for disappointment.

Not good enough. I want to see the entire map that light shade of magenta.
Why not try cycling to work, grocery store, anywhere!

12Z GFS looks primed to unleash the arctic on us in the clown range.

That model snow output is so wrong. No way Roseburg, OR sees that much snow...ever.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

Re: January 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
This is our problem. We get so wrapped up in these long range poor resolution snow maps. At least we don't personally attack each other when they don't verify... unlike the American forums.

Still shows 20 cm for Abbotsford Sunday followed by chilly days near freezing. Better than nothing.
