I think it will be lower than that. Especially during the night. Probably right down to sea level at times.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 11:25 am Really feel Feb will deliver the cold. Next 10 days...snow chances above 200m.

Sea level at times, inland and higher elevations. I doubt the snow line stays above 200m.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 11:25 am Really feel Feb will deliver the cold. Next 10 days...snow chances above 200m.

At some point you got to take what you can get around here.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 10:00 am Cumulative over 16 days, but if it verifies it will definitely be a snowier than normal winter.
Those events with a low meeting up with an arctic front and dropping 30+ cm at once seem less and less as of recent.

I like the position of the low, for snow chances on the E. Island. Often, the low cuts across north of us or right over us, which is sucky!

Last time YVR dipped below -10c in Feb was back in 1990. We're due!wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 11:25 am Really feel Feb will deliver the cold. Next 10 days...snow chances above 200m.

Hi everyone, so just to be clear this colder weather coming is not an arctic event meaning no outflow winds for Squamish? New wood shed roof is being installed on Friday so just before they start wrapping it with tarps that would fly off I was just wondering! We get slammed with those northerly winds at my place so wanna make sure we wait if that is the case but looks to be no wind?! Hoping for snow though Sunday

Probably not as windy as it was back in November but it's Squamish, count on some wind.Wintergirl wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 12:19 pm Hi everyone, so just to be clear this colder weather coming is not an arctic event meaning no outflow winds for Squamish? -7.2c early on Feb 8, 2017.
It never completely cleared out at night after the multi-day snowfall from the 3rd thru the 6th; was partly cloudy with clear breaks early on the 7th and 8th but that was it.

Interesting..I remember those day times being clear with not a cloud in the sky. Forgot the nights had cloud cover.

Re: January 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
The good thing about this is the consistency. It’s not just a few runs of one model hinting at something. The caveat is it’s still about a week out before the fun begins. If the models are still sticking with the same story on Thursday or Friday, I will start getting excited.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Re: January 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Temps look like the same they have been for past month here, 2 or 3 degrees during day and just at freezing at night...according to Sky tracker weather app from Global and shows a rain snow mix Sunday Monday Tuesday. Weather network shows snow. I give up even reading these apps for weather they never match. But if it 2 or 3 degrees then it sucks no different than it has been. Borderline temps means more slop as we have seen all winter. Is it too much to ask for cold and snow? Apparently yes lol. You guys are so so much smarter than any weather app to be honest! So please explain how this went from cold and snow to Sh*t! Valid question please explain I do not understand the weather maps. The american forum explains most maps so I like to head over there to have a look often! And the fighting is pretty hilarious as well I prefer my buddies on this forum and look forward to daily laughter and smiles...you guys a rock wish we could all meet in person one day
