There's a decent amount of rain after the initial surge. So its not like we would be sitting on a nice 12" snowpack. Lots of slush and mud. But to be clear its still going to be fun and scores better than winter up to this point.

A ton of cold in the central interior and Yukon in the long range on the 12z gfs. Just need a mechanism to draw it down here.

Very curious what the first week of Feb will look like as we get closer. Imagine we build a bit of a snowpack and then get a true arctic blast...

That can be an issue with cold onshore flow setups. Once the low passes, it stops drawing in the cold and we warm a bit. But models are usually quick to warm us up and it's still days away, so no need to worry yet. Trends are looking better for us again. :thumbup:

That pattern would really pile up the snow in places with a bit of elevation.

I think Pomoman would be very happy with that setup.
