Why are some of you getting discouraged?
Everything is still in gear for a SHIFT to cooler weather that WILL bring snow.
Nobody knows the details yet, so don't get so worried. Keep the faith!
Even if it doesn't get as cold as some may want, I think it's more exciting to get the snow and forecast the snow.
Starting Wed night it will be chilly enough for flurries over higher elevations. Thurs, Fri may also see flurries even down to sea level. The weekend system may be Sat or Sun when we see some flurries again. So it's possible to head into the following week with a few cm of snow on the ground and things will get colder the closer to Feb we get. Then who knows what surprises you will get! I'm still very optimistic. You should be too. There are a few members here posting great maps and making great predictions. Don't give up! :brrr:

It's all John's fault.
The 7th annual snowfall contest is canceled due to no snow this winter.

That's what I was thinking , all we need is 0° at the surface, some cooler air aloft , a nearby low, and Bam! we're in business.

Do you think we could see something similar to February 2019?
