That's a pretty sweet setup.

At face value, it would likely trend a lot colder as it gets into the shorter range. Still 10+ days out but I'm liking the potential so far.

Yup.
And this isn't some fantasy GFS control run. It's the Euro ensemble mean.

But here's the GFS, which looks shockingly similar to the EPS.

That broad NPAC block with an axis in western Alaska and the chukchi sea is a pretty classic setup to produce some big time cold in BC.
