OP runs showing differing solutions with each run, but more importantly, the ensembles continue to hold fairly strong and even improve a bit.

Will they hold?

Which of the following was more painful and harder to accept?

A) Canucks game 7 loss to Boston in 2011
B) January 2011 snowstorm bust
Anyone who says B isn't a Canucks fan

I'll always take the ensembles over the Op at 7-10+ days.

Yeah, I’ll take a moisture filled week with temps just below freezing over drier and colder conditions easily!

Wondering if we start with chilly NW flow before transitioning into something colder later on?

Hat's off to Ladner weather dude for showing up each day to work even though the chances of a snowflake in Ladner even at the best of times is nil. He's my nomination for unsung hero this winter.
The 7th annual snowfall contest is canceled due to no snow this winter.

We need the cold too if you're looking for lots of snow.

Significant south coast snowfalls occur generally in advance of a strong arctic blast or overrunning a deep arctic airmass.

Absolutely, I understand what you are saying. I think the pattern depicted on the GEFS has that potential. Of course, it isn't a guarantee, but these have been the best runs of the season so far. I'll take that for now.
