Re: March 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
So I did some research into why photos turn sideways and it has to do with iPhone users. When you take a photo in portrait mode, the phone being held up normally as you would look at it, the photos are kinda wrongly tagged. So if you turn your phone sideways, landscape mode, the info contained in the file SHOULD allow it to display correctly on the forum. So please try this.. hopefully it will work.

Should have put those snow tires on this year.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2019 9:38 pm Was commuting back from False Creek.
Was ok there. Drizzle.
Then got to E 1st and Commercial and came across some heavy wet snow. I hit Renfrew and my car was sliding all over. Heavy wet snow accumulating on the ground. Get to Hwy 1 near Willlington and it was nearly all rain. Burnaby Lake stretch was super heavy snow and then Gaglardi and Cariboo is crazy. No cars getting up Cariboo. Ended up going down to Brunette where it was mixed precip again...to McBride where it was mostly drizzle.
Microclimates are crazy today. Looks like Burnaby/Coquitlam continue to get pounded with snow.
Westwood Plateau could easily see 40cm on the ground by the morning.

Finally coming down hard now and beginning to accumulate but compared to most here it's not much. I should've moved to Lynn Valley.

Re: March 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
The hasnt been a bad winter on the roads. Most snow has usually fallen during the day and we never really saw any overnight snowfalls.

Re: March 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
A few more cells should form over night to give northern sections of Metro Vancouver a dose of snow. Not much in terms of accumulation again, but Coquitlam, Burnaby, Along the mountains and higher elevations could continue to see some snow. 1-3cm The next big system to watch is Monday and Tuesday this coming week for your last shot at snow. It's 50/50 right now, but it looks like the possibility of a nice widespread snowfall. Keep your eyes on the models. After that it looks to be a slow transition into slightly warmer weather, yet still below average. No more snow likely unless it's from convection which means most likely in the form of hail.

Re: March 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
You think next weeks system could be snow? Models seem to be trending it as cold rain. Thanks for the updateWeatherPro wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2019 10:37 pm A few more cells should form over night to give northern sections of Metro Vancouver a dose of snow.
