It wasn’t awful. GEPS and GEFS looked a little better. Could be some members of the EPS are holding the Aleutian low in place a little longer and keeping the N pacific ridge a little more suppressed.

I recall a friend of mine worked on Dunbar around King Ed and that year she had to park down the hill on Blenheim and walk to work in that snow. she mentioned how difficult the walk was, I just checked, there's a 20m rise from Blenheim to Dunbar in that area,
