I was camping and then had my pet crisis over Xmas but I also wonder if people are just tuning the numbers out as we are all just emotionally spent from months and months of it. I can try do some maybe in the new years though when things are back to "normal".

The satire of Titiana McGrath is often taken as seriously great woke material. See here: https://youtu.be/DBJGDk8BviQ

What do the protesters want? We know they oppose lockdowns, light restrictions, masks, distancing and now vaccines. I want to know what they DO want. Just business as usual?

The airlines must be grateful for politicians taking all those vacations that they told regular people not to take.

It is crazy that international flights are being allowed in the middle of a pandemic. That's exactly how it got here in the first place, and we just saw another example with the new more contagious variant arriving from the UK.

625 new cases, but that's very misleading because our testing rate dropped off over Christmas and never recovered. We're currently testing about 65% the number of people we were testing in mid-December, so in actuality we're probably seeing record numbers of new cases right now. 8899 tests have been completed since yesterday, for a positivity rate of 7.0%.

761 new cases today from 8960 new tests, for a positivity rate of 8.5%.

Dr. Bonnie Henry: "Our curve is trending upwards".

It should come as no surprise that the province-wide restrictions have been extended until February 5th.

The BC government was doing an excellent job of managing the pandemic until they decided to have a needless election involving millions of people intermingling in indoor spaces as they cast their votes, and largely without masks, just as the 2nd wave was taking off.

Masks were mandatory at the polls here.
