I’m not in the best area for snow. I’m only about 40 metres above Okanagan Lake, pretty close to the Walmart/ Superstore. I’ve noticed it often doesn’t take too much elevation to make a huge difference in snowfall totals around here.

Although after living in Abbotsford for most of my life, it definitely snows much more often than I’m used to!

I was there for December 2017. About a metre of prime powder. You could just walk right through it. It was so amazing.

That was a great December! I wasn't living up here yet, but I was up here for the holidays. I remember it snowing for like 3-4 days straight after Christmas. I couldn't get out of the driveway until they finally plowed the street. I then drove back to Abby around December 30th to find a very thick layer of ice covering everything, branches/ trees ripped apart after 3 days straight of freezing rain and the power out to half the city. I don't think I have ever passed more cars in the ditch than on that drive, especially between Hope and Chilliwack.

Beautiful day here, sunshine and blue sky and warm. It was especially nice after all the rain.

A nice reprieve, had some sun here too with a high of 9.5° , not quite double digits, some brisk winds at crescent beach. I never believe the forecasts when they show several days of straight rain, there's always some breaks here and there, at least here anyways. Having said that I wouldn't say no to 3 days of non stop snowfall. 8-)

Keeps getting later and later. we'll be running out of time soon, higher sun angles.
