2.0C here. Looks like the snow level is starting out around 300m on central van island. Should lower some with heavier precip later.

West based NAO. Hmmm

If we see ridge build over the GOA/Aleutians at the same time... watch out. Potential for a long lasting cold spell.

What do you think the odds are that happens? I think they are higher than normal given the SSW and -ENSO/+QBO state. Especially since the -NAO isn't forecast to go away anytime soon.

I have a Facebook page too for BCStorms, but it doesn't have the same community type feel. I only post some model things sometimes but you can send messages. Usually someone from the forum sends me a Twitter message if the site is down, which hasn't had to happen too many times yet thankfully.
