Today has been a major turn in the right direction. They moved her out of ICU. Its looking like pelvic surgery Monday and no other major operations. Her care has been truly tremendous. I'll keep myself cautious until after Monday but we're feeling heartened. Thank you for your concernRoberts Creeker wrote: ↑Sat Dec 26, 2020 7:44 pm PortKells how's your pup doing? Will do creeker. I'm optimistic about it but still guarded after the roller coaster we've just ridden.Roberts Creeker wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 1:09 am That's great news, so happy to hear it. Let us know how Monday goes

This is La Nina though. Cool, wet and active. Ridges are short lived. The samilkameeen gets crushed. As far as arctic air and epic winters the odds seem still fairly low.

Re: December 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
I think there probably is going to be an arctic blast this winter. An epic blast? No. More of a garden-variety one. Not super-cold, not super-long-lasting.
But yes, generally cool, wet, and active. As I have been expecting since last fall. In other words, typical for La Niña. The biggest blasts tend to happen in neutral years.
It's called clown range for a reason.

2017/2018. Huge expectations, mediocre results. Only 3 winters ago. Those are my current expectations but well see.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 8:26 am I think there probably is going to be an arctic blast this winter. An epic blast? Nice try , looks like another fine mess you got yourself into. Your only way out is if you get a pardon from President Gump , and that seems quite likely.Sardisbcwx wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 12:30 am WTHay hang ol'e Gumpster if you look at the very tiny fine print that you can't read without your x ray glasses. Probably won’t be as wet as last January. Looks like we will be kicking that arctic cold can down the road for at least another couple weeks

Re: December 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
It will arrive by late March. We will be tracking nocturnal slush and very wet daytime snow that accumulates in shaded areas. The Arctic high will deliver very strong outflow that brings a cold +6C high.
