Good news. The weeklies sucked. Given that they have failed so badly thus far I'd honestly rather that.

18z is pretty chilly. Interior cold pool doesn't budge, low snow levels and plenty of lowland snow threats through early Jan.

Hopefully the beginning of a trend but so far it looks like a cool outlier on the ensembles in the mid and long range.

l guess if the AF can have their gorge cold pool we can have our interior cold pool. However l prefer the canyon as our source especially for us valley ppl.

The only cold pool I need is under a slowly dissipating head of froth and carbonation. Speaking of which, has anyone tried this Whistler brewing chestnut ale? Absolutely fantastic winter beer for only a little bit too much money

Is this Greenland block an improvement?

That AK vortex is just not budging. Seems we're going to be stuck in this zonal pattern for a while yet. Some surprises definitely possible like we've just seen though.

Luckily no internal bleeding and lungs are ok, but the doctor is a little worried about her lack of movement. I absolutely cannot believe this is how this year is going to end.
Sorry to hear that. I wish your dog will get well soon and move as before. I lost mine end of last year who failed surgery twice and I have to put him down. It still hurts and I miss him almost every single day.
Anyway, I wish all of you a merry Christmas and have a snowy but safe winter!

I guess were all gathered around on this Christmas eve with just our household members for the most part what a weird feeling it is.
