Dec '83 was actually colder, but with a lot less snow.

'84-85 was a pretty sweet winter though. Snow on the ground from early-mid December through mid-late Jan. Not many warmups and early-mid February was pretty snowy too. A lot like '16-17.

'96 was such an epic year ; end of January; another snow fall in mid march, which stayed awhile; another one in mid November and then the run of storms which closed out the year!!

Completely forgot about the Feb 1990 event. 20-50cm on the 14th/15th across the lower mainland.

I'd still put 1996 on top though. January, November and December all delivered.
