I was being a little sarcastic lol where I am in langford I got enough to make a snowball. Down the rd at my parents they got around 6-8 cm. I think saanich got more overall. Normally I dont do to bad for snow. It was just way to wet yesterday and when it finally was drier snow it didn't snow for long. But I'm ok with it. I love to look at it and play with the kids for about a day then im over it. My 2 year old loved it though, tried to catch some on her tongue lol

Freezing fog and -1ËšC here. Streets are an ice capades.

Really enjoy what the snow cover does to the morning light on days like this.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Cold pool developing in the Interior the next 2 days.

Overrunning system offshore looks to draw this cold air. Upper levels will cool off as moisture approaches from the South. Models arent showing it yet but I suspect either ZR or snow for Abbotsford eastward on Christmas night and Boxing Day.

Yeah the 96 storm was definitely more intense but I was not living here at the time whereas I was here for the 06 storm.

That is good or bad depending on what weather you want. Strong Greenland block with a +PNA. Pretty much can keep a pattern LOCKED for weeks. Strong potential to see JFM 2010 or 2015 with this

Not saying it will happen as the monthly forecasts have been garbage thus far.

The SSW will likely shake the pattern up in mid and late Jan.

For those not following the weather down south, Seattle yesterday:
  • Had a record high.
  • Had a record rainfall for the day.
  • For the first time ever, recorded snow falling on day that set a high temperature record.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Talk about variable weather!

Well that was a fun event last night. Fun to get some snow on the first day of winter.
My wife's writing studio with about an inch and a half.
