Still snowing here but with darkness it does become challenging to see as I have no outdoor lighting to look underneath of.
May go for a small walk. Sounded like ice pellets for a while earlier so who knows.
Burnaby Mountain @ 365 m..

Stats? Fresh out of those. But I win anyway. I got all the inches.

Was extremely slippery out there so I shoveled the 1cm of slush off the driveway and sidewalk as precip was winding down and changed to rain 30 mins ago.

Now it's back to snowing at a decent clip with fairly large flakes. Temp has dropped a touch to 0.4c, dp 0.1c.

I shoveled a few cm of melted slop a couple hours ago. Probably about 5cm on the grass. It’s dumping again now and everything is covered again. Temp at 0.3

Back to nicer snow here to. Sticking to everything. Guess the temp fell again. If this all freezes this will be fun tomorrow am.

I shoveled less than 0.5 cm of slush off my stairs and deck, it was starting to freeze. Snow is pretty much melted elsewhere.

Snow shovel is now on the deck so I'm ready for the next massive snow fall.

I’d assume most people on here can’t wait to get out and shovel whatever snow we get as soon as we can. :P

If you shovel it into a pile it lasts longer!

Maybe a bit of slush later in the PM but should be mostly rain under 300m.

Ideal track would have been straight W-ESE for the LM.

My 1cm slush says SCORE. Was a non event for Western Metro Van. Overachieved for Surrey and Coquitlam.

Hey I noticed something - perhaps some of you smarter than I can help figure this one out...

Highway 3 (Allison pass weather station) was reporting -2.8C and HEAVY snow pretty much all day today. Yet - Gibson pass ski area (manning ski area - 10kms to the south) was PLUS 4 and raining, can you believe it?

Abbotsford was snowing all afternoon. Yet Mt Baker ski area was also PLUS 4 and raining today. Sasquatch mountain base area was -1.8C and snowing hard all day.

How is this possible? The cold trough must have been literally right in place between Manning Park lodge (I called in and they confirmed it was snowing there), but they didn't have phone service. TWN also was reporting 3C and rain on their weather app for the ski area.

What gives?

Reason I really care is because I was planning on skiing there tuesday... Perhaps not going to go now - Allison pass has had over 40cm already today. Crazy to think the ski area had rain lol - it's at 4800ft altitude lol
