Re: December 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Rain rapidly washing away the 2cm I had. Up to +2.3 with advection fog coming in...Indicates slight warmth mixing aloft.
NW winds look to ramp up soon.

OMG LEIGHBUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Leighbugs wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 2:25 pm Moderate snow in Maple Ridge, about 2 cm accumulation so far. To be honest, I fully expected this forecast to be a bust so this feels a bit like a Christmas miracle, LOL. This is the first time my 8 month old kitten has seen the snow. He's been sitting at the window for over an hour watching the flakes fall.
Welcome back!!! How are you doing?????

Drove home from Abby to Surrey. Horrible driving through Langley. Probably 2-3†there. 2†on Cloverdale hilltop.

Jolly good show! You can't be too far from my daughter's place , one block east of superstore. I'm pretty well at the highest elevation in the semiahmoo peninsula.westside33 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 2:07 pm Grumps, you have someone else in SS now! I'm a bit to the NE of you from what I gather, about 10m - 15m lower at 85m asl. 5cm here, and coming down quite heavily, huge flakes. Temp steady at 0.5.

Re: December 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
18z GFS shows a similar setup to today on January 1st. More cold air follows in behind the system and trough digs more SW which allows for a weak low to form off the island.
