Re: December 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
I really like the synopsis the member posted above. It's actually a very good call on reading the models.
As for tomorrow, I think think things have improved a bit.
Watch for the wet bulb effect tomorrow to kick in quite strong.
I'm thinking 150m and above will see accumulations.
This could be a wide spread event except for near the water at sea level. In some areas we could get to see up to 15cm of snow if the conditions turn out just right. On the other hand it could all still fail because you guys are riding the line so close with this system. Mountains will sure score well though. The valley may finally get the snow they deserve! Higher elevations will do well, so they typical places like Burnaby/Surrey.
Too bad ground temps are still too warm. Snow will have trouble building due to melting due to ground temps being above zero. By ground I mean the actual earth. Would have been nice to see a frosty night tonight to give some cooling to the surface.

Re: December 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Riiiiight..WP and the wetbulb effect
What about Langley at 100m? Willoughby? I'm thinking 6-10cms..maybe more if we thread the needle? Yes ground temps too warm
but the heavy snow will cool the ground temps quickly in the hills
