Re: December 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
This is not a good setup for Metro Vancouver. PSCZ, Hood Canal and E Vancouver Island appear to have best potential.
12z GFS is a touch north. Introduces more precip but looks milder.

This is very petty, but I don't want to see Seattle succeed if we get skunked, which that 6Z euro seems to show.

Re: December 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Models are too aggressive with the adiabatic cooling in the Puget Sound area. This may be a 2" slop event in the PSCZ and foothill locations above 1500ft.

Clown range. But some recent GFS runs have been showing such a massive a Greenland block that arctic air gets displaced into almost all of Canada. Not quite for us but close.

Re: December 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Appears there is another marginal set up around the 29th for some slop here as well.

Re: December 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Its another Barrie Vortex!
Itll be nice to see the east coast finally get their turn after this frigid west coast ice box that the weather network accurately predicted.
