Was pretty disappointing initially over much of Metro Vancouver during the day. I recall another low that formed over the georgia straight in the wake of that system that dropped 5-10cm in just couple hours.
The question being, if the low tracks just south of us, would there actually be enough cold this time around? I recall the December 2017 event had a perfect track but just barely not enough cold. Thats what made it so frustrating. It could have been a region wide snowstorm had we had a bit more cold to work with. Instead, it was just cold rain for most until most of the precipitation had ended.

Pictures from Cypress today. Most of the day there was light fog but at a few points it was clear and gorgeous. Snow was decent up top but it wasn't powder. Lots of lift lines this year though. 20-30 minute lines on a Thursday morning! I also caught a picture of a fog bow but for some reason I didn't realize that there was one and only when I was looking at my pictures did I see it.

Most likely given the GFS is the only model with the south solution and its not shown to be a reliable model.

If the GFS fails this weekend again they might as well just throw that model out it's such a disaster most of the time :bs: :bs:
