Re: December 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Just reading the NWS and guess what my buttees down there are saying?
"but sadly, being the day 6 and 7 time frame does carry the usual caveats regarding forecasting that far out. "
So we have much hope after 6 to 7 days. YESSSSSSS

Re: December 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
I was also going to add that from some very unscientific observations, it does seem to be colder and snowier in parts of western Canada/ BC. Just not right out at the coastal locations. N and NE BC seems to be quite cold so far. Southern interior BC seems to have gotten off to quite a snowy start
I dont like back loaded Ninas..too short of a winter season around here..we need it to start asap. 2008 was golden..started around Dec 12?..lasted for almost 2 weeks. Thats my kinda winter

Re: December 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Snowing in the high peaks then..at least there is snowpack building up high
Seems that snow levels should be decently low (considering sad winter start...again) around here next cupla days,,could be worse i guess..like bommy 4500 foot snow levels or worse.

Re: December 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
00z GFS with very good news within HR 144. Ridge looks healthier and strong which bodes well for a mild and dry week for Christmas!
Watch for potential lowland snow late Monday with some energy with the departing trough. N to S gradient not favorable for LM but better for Puget Sound.. but models been all over the placw.

Dude, your energy is wasted here. You should totally post this at the AF. They would really appreciate it.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 16, 2020 8:21 pm 00z GFS with very good news within HR 144. Ridge looks healthier and strong which bodes well for a mild and dry week for Christmas!
