No reason to not like our chances in January at this point. West coast ridging flattens late December and rebounds to our west around New Years. I’m feeling it!

Think flattening and rebounding ridges!

Progressive pattern was always in the cards. This would bring varying weather such as heavy rain, dry and warm conditions and fringe lowland snow chances.
Those fools keep searching for arctic outbreaks which arent in the cards

Yeah, periods of flat ridging during the winter are generally precursors to arctic blasts as the ridge retrogrades and amplifies to the west. Pretty classic progression.

Not bad. The depth of the trough in the east is a bit concerning. But something around New Years looks possible based on that.

How’s Barrie doing this winter?
More wintery for sure. Persistent snow and cold this month. My friend and his uncle are creating a backyard rink next week....

I took a short trip up Seymour last night after work. It was pretty busy. I can't imagine how busy it is today (no thanks!).
It always snows in December in the Kootenays
