The latest GEFS runs are hinting at some ridging for Xmas. Still a ways to go though.

Tried to tell you guys that ENSO doesn't really matter as much in our modern climate. This Nov-Dec has held the traits or a moderate +ENSO.

We are looking at a mid Jan onwards winter this year now. My gut feeling says we won't see any "arctic" but may get a cold onshore flow.

Awesome! Seven more glorious winters of alternating mild ridging and spells of 10ËšC rain!
It's called clown range for a reason.

With climate change in mind it will play out as follows:

2021 - 11c rain
2022 - 12c rain
2023 - 13c rain
2024 - 14c rain
2025 - 15c rain
2026 - 16c rain
2027 - 17C RAIN

So by 2027 Nito's wishes of 17C winters will be the standard and the Similkameen will no longer be receiving any snow. Sorry Buttee.

We become San Diego. North Coast becomes Portland. Juneau turns into the new Vancouver.

I say we do well in that scenario.

The 12z Euro is trying, but the Pacific jet doesn't want to cooperate just yet.

We are obviously heading into an active and cool period for the next 10-14 days.

Just in time for a block amplifying into Alaska for Christmas. ;)
