Damn. It’s gonna get wet. Probably stormy. Who wants a Christmas windstorm? Cold probably waits till after Christmas at the earliest

-pna and rising EPO sounds wet and active to me.

Feels like last year again...no real guarantee it gets colder in Jan though. The Nov/Dec outlook once depicted cold and wet troughing for the West Coast with moderate blocking. Long range models have kept trending milder within the 14-21 day range.

Thurs-Fri looks interesting. Perhaps 500m freezing levels and ZR for Chilliwack east?

I honestly don't really care for February snow, It just is way more difficult for us near sea level after the 1st week to enjoy it.

Its the west coast. Nothing is guaranteed until the first snowflakes arrive and the cars start spinning into oncoming traffic.

It’s obviously never a guarantee however we definitely have an elevated chance this year. Things seem to following a the script of a 1st year nina so far.

Lots of snow above 800-1000m after Wednesday. Zonal stormy pattern.

This is quite sad Mr Nito. Looks like time to head to the Simikameen again for my snowfix and some snowmobile fun.
Hopefully wet and stormy means lots more snow for the interior. Local Snow levels bobbling around 800-1000m is perfect.
January 2025 incoming..looks like more Pineapples..Happy New Year!
