Re: December 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Feels like last year again...no real guarantee it gets colder in Jan though. The Nov/Dec outlook once depicted cold and wet troughing for the West Coast with moderate blocking. Long range models have kept trending milder within the 14-21 day range.

Thurs-Fri looks interesting. Perhaps 500m freezing levels and ZR for Chilliwack east?

I honestly don't really care for February snow, It just is way more difficult for us near sea level after the 1st week to enjoy it.

Its the west coast. Nothing is guaranteed until the first snowflakes arrive and the cars start spinning into oncoming traffic.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 9:35 am Feels like last year again...no real guarantee it gets colder in Jan though. It’s obviously never a guarantee however we definitely have an elevated chance this year. Things seem to following a the script of a 1st year nina so far.Weather101 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 10:03 am I'm meh about it, Been having this feeling since I said in October that all the hype might not lead into anything much.

This is quite sad Mr Nito. Looks like time to head to the Simikameen again for my snowfix and some snowmobile fun.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 9:35 am Feels like last year again...no real guarantee it gets colder in Jan though. Hopefully wet and stormy means lots more snow for the interior. Local Snow levels bobbling around 800-1000m is perfect.
January 2025 incoming..looks like more Pineapples..Happy New Year!
