Re: November 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
I don’t mind seeing the milder weather now. Just found out we have a cracked chimney flue in our wood stove. So the only heat we have is baseboards This ain’t gonna be a cheap fix.

Re: November 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Both. There are apparently 3 or 4 cracked tiles (clay) in the flue liner. Also some corrosion and hairline cracks in the stove that require welding. Or replace the stove as it’s 28 years old. I’d probably switch to a gas stove, they look sweet, but we don’t have gas on our street atm, and propane seems a bit pricey.

A bit of mountain snow perhaps but it’s tough to get cold here with a vortex sitting in Alaska.

Yep...wouldn't that be a fairly plentiful mountain snow set up though?

Hot off the press.
1st half of Dec is warm (no surprise here) but then looks average to slightly below out as we head toward the end of the month.
#begofJAN has some potential.

El Nito specialty! Didn't we see something in the 10-15C range in 2008 too?

18z looks real dry after the system early next week. The ridge position has us high and dry and the North and central coasts getting hit with more AR events.

Re: November 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
LOL… gotta love the American forum. Some haruspications are showing a cooling trend in the third week of December and the usual characters are getting hyper-excited about a replay of some epic events from 1950 or the 1890’s being virtually a lock.
It's called clown range for a reason.
