Our subdivision isn’t too bad but some other areas are much worse. The 2018 storm knocked out power for 5-10 days in some areas. Above ground hydro service, a lot of trees, and strong winds don’t mix wellWeather101 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 11:28 pm Days at a time ? Wow. Interesting enough the power really doesn't go out here, at least for me. I haven't really had the power go out that much maybe two times in the last 6 years.

This pattern is giving and will continue to give “the blob†a pretty good beating.

Re: November 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
A bit of wet snow possible for you John, on the north side of the 3rd system early next week.
We are seeing some signs of the trough digging further SW once we get into the weekend, which means they could be tapping into some deeper sub tropical moisture. Models are waffling on details but it looks active, possibly stormy through the middle of next week.

Re: November 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Looks favorable for a major AR event no matter how you dice it. Been saying this would be the case for mid November for a while now. What's worrisome is that this pattern doesn't look progessive as that trough carves offshore ahead of a weak block near the dateline and props a ridge over the midwest... an area along the West Coast could see 3-4 days of intense rain.Monty wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 6:56 am A bit of wet snow possible for you John, on the north side of the 3rd system early next week.

Can we get this one to go south as well?
