Our subdivision isn’t too bad but some other areas are much worse. The 2018 storm knocked out power for 5-10 days in some areas. Above ground hydro service, a lot of trees, and strong winds don’t mix well

The 6Z gfs shows 3 potential windstorms all passing to our south over the next week.
North end of Shawnigan Lake. Southern Vancouver island. 500ft

A bit of wet snow possible for you John, on the north side of the 3rd system early next week.

We are seeing some signs of the trough digging further SW once we get into the weekend, which means they could be tapping into some deeper sub tropical moisture. Models are waffling on details but it looks active, possibly stormy through the middle of next week.

Looks favorable for a major AR event no matter how you dice it. Been saying this would be the case for mid November for a while now. What's worrisome is that this pattern doesn't look progessive as that trough carves offshore ahead of a weak block near the dateline and props a ridge over the midwest... an area along the West Coast could see 3-4 days of intense rain.

12z Gfs is a miss on the wind storm Friday but we get wet snow on the north side of the low passing thru Washington state.
