Re: October 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Up until 10 mins ago there were true wet snowflakes falling. But it didn’t last long and things are letting up.
Burnaby Mountain @ 365 m..
Stats? Fresh out of those. But I win anyway. I got all the inches.

Re: October 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
I have a friend on Westwood Plateau who said they definitely saw snowflakes. I also had a positive splat test driving on the Upper Levels Highway earlier, but it wasn't enough to count as chunky rain

Re: October 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Picked up 12 cm since about 7 AM. Also just lost power, most trees are still mostly foliated so I imagine some may not be faring too well with the heavy wet snow.
This is only my third winter up here in the Okanagan after moving from Abby, but I feel like this amount of snow in October must be quite rare..
Hopefully we can have a similar set up in a month or two and everyone can score big!

Definitely some chunky rain in North Delta this morning. The mesoscale models weren't too far off after all.

Snowiest October day on record in Penticton. 11 cm today shatters the old record of 3cm.
