Monty wrote: Tue Oct 20, 2020 9:20 pm A little chilly. A lot snowy. 130-160% of normal in the lowlands. Wet early with precip trending closer to normal later. I don’t think we will see the endless storm train we have sometimes seen during strong Niñas. I doubt the Niña exceeds the moderate threshold. There is just too much warmth in the pacific overall right now.
Cool so you think this could be a special year for us who love low elevation snows? :D

Too early for Cypress or the local mountains to make snow anyways.
Why not try cycling to work, grocery store, anywhere!

So far as the mountains are concerned:
October snow comes and goes,
November snow builds and grows.
It's called clown range for a reason.

It's raining , it's pouring
Our friend Nito is gloating
His phone was dead as he went to bed
And couldn't believe it was snowing in the morning

Loads of lightning out over hope, every 30 seconds or so, strange that I can’t find any strikes on the lightning map, does that mean it’s all sheet lightning and not grounding out?

Interesting. The 12z 3km NAM is picking up some snow in parts of Metro Vancouver tomorrow morning.

This is probably why. Easterly wind with borderline 925mb temperatures. Pockets of heavier precipitation rates.
