Overnight low of 12°C at KBLI. That’s warmer than the average low for July and August! The coming cold snap is going to feel like quite the shock. We should go from nights that stay warmer than 10°C to days that stay colder than 10°C.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Looks like the 12z GFS is trending toward the GEM with Friday’s system.

I love this upcoming trend since it's so early and we have literally all of winter to go here, so a bust isn't really a bust at all considering mountain snow is absolutely a lock at this point.

Time to wax the skis!

Full on winter up at my inlaws place in Vanderhooof. They had 6 inches of snow. Supposed to get down to -12c this week. Currently -2c.

I see Seattle has had 17 lows above 10C this month.

That would be a dead sexy setup to see about 6weeks from now. A deepening sub 995mb low sliding down the strait of JdeF with a fresh push of cold air from the interior.
