If models trend just a few degrees cooler leading up to the 24th we could be looking at... an Erection Day snowstorm..?

Chilliwack is probably one of the best places in the Lower Mainland to be if you like big snowstorms. Arctic fronts often stall just east of Abbotsford and during overrunning events, the cold air usually gets trapped just east of Abbotsford.

Just east of Abbotsford... Just east of Abbotsford... Just east of ABBOTSTSFORD!!! :x :x :x :wish: :wish: :wish:

I’ll use my least favourite catch phrase. It’s 2020!. Like everything can be blamed on the year in 2020

At face value, the interior would get one of the most significant October snowfalls in recent memory, if not even further back. GEM dumps a lot of cold air into BC in advance of the low.

I know it is pretty silly to look at micro scale details this far in advance, but I am going to do it anyway.

12z GEM.

A rather large scale overrunning event. In October. October. I know I really shouldn’t be getting my hopes up, but how can you not this early in the season? :eh:
