Chris Doyle is saying it's a "marginal event, all models are similar aloft, probably a mixed bag at sea level - possible brief accumulation inland and at higher levels." Seems like a more reasonable take but those Euro maps are very intoxicating for snow lovers.

Those total accumulation maps are going to be a little deceiving as well when the precip is spread out over a long duration. Likely to be lots of melting even as the snow is falling during the day.

With all that hype of COLD and snow, The Weather Network forecast calls for a chance of mixed showers and ~ 1cm.

Update from Tyler Hamilton:

The good news for us is that this event may occur in the evening when the sun angles aren't much of or a factor at all.
