Odd… DP still above freezing here. Still nice and abnormally warm and dry. Taking advantage of it and repainting my bathroom today. Makes paint dry fast.

With COVID I am working from home and will likely continue to do so until next year and even then I bet I’ll only have to transit downtown a couple days per week. So Bby Mtn worked well in the search for quiet and snow.
As for the view on a high visibility day such as today I can see as far west as the British Properties, as far north as parts of the Indian Arm and as Far East as Pitt Meadows/Maple Ridge (I’m thinking Silver Valley but not sure). In between lots of mountains and water. It’s neat but it is a slightly strange place overall.

So far I’ve noticed a good couple degree drop in temps almost any day I go out and come home. So this should bode well for those marginal events and likely good for a lot of slop while others are a chilly rain.

Pretty significant E wind event for Seattle and Portland.

Large fires in eastern Washington not making it any better. Reports of thick ground level smoke and falling ash in and around both cities.

Is it still windy? Oddly all the official weather stations and stupid weather apps all are showing very unimpressive wind speeds at the moment yet here it is just howling. Too bad there are no observations up here at all that I can find. It surprises me I guess.

Snow forecast for Denver tomorrow... That's pretty early but not unbelievable given the elevation and time of year.

Very thick smoke and fine ash falling here this morning.

Very cold this morning! Almost down to zero in some parts of the Okanagan (a friend down the hill from me was at +0.4 this morning).

Also, -8C in Saskatchewan! Lots of record cold in that province today.

P.S. I will be taking a break from being online until at least October. I posted something online that shouldn't have doing an experiment for a stupid blog post idea, but it was taken as a threat to someone, so I used my own name to apologize, which then lead to me getting threatening phone calls at 2:30 am, yadda, yadda. So anyway, I've kind of had to shut my online presence down for a while. I'll be back someday. Catch you all later.
