Cold last night. Dropped to -5.3C. I had to put some extra wood in the fire when I got up to let the dogs out.

I am on team spring now!!

Just so you’re all aware there is a political threat in the general chat section of this forum I have put some thoughts down there about the current political crisis with the prime minister if you want to talk about it we have to keep it there.

Outflow picking up cold and gusty crazy.

Wind, wind, wind... ;) Plus maybe subsidence.
By the way, the air mass is much colder in the places you mentioned.

Dew point around -14C in Metro Vancouver right now!

Can't remember the last time we had measurable snow in March! Seems pretty unlikely no?

Checking some numbers for this March...looks like the coldest readings since the early/mid March event in 2009.

Lowest temp @ YVR with that event was -5.9C on the 11th. High of only 2.3C on the 10th with full sunshine too. And that was after 5cm of snow fell on the 9th.

That event capped off an already great winter. We had snowcover for three straight months; from mid Dec thru mid March.
