Dynamics actually look better in BC than Washington early tomorrow morning. So no border force field.

During summer when I look east I often see storm type clouds at a distance which I've always presumed was in the Hope to Manning Park area. Once I was actually in Manning Park at the Lightning Lake beach/picnic area soaking up some sun rays but also getting some rumbles of thunder passing by right behind me.

Just as I thought , the humidity hype was a bust , a non event , nothing out of the ordinary. Went for a brisk walk at 4pm at Mud Bay park,it was around 30° ,definitely felt hot but not uncomfortable , didn't even break a sweat until 20 min into my walk , and the big test was that my wife didn't even complain about it being muggy. Also didn't see any hazyiness, high thin clouds, that is often associated with high humidity back east.

I agree. I ran for 1:05 between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm and yes, it was warm but no so humid.

The ground is fairly dry plus no cloudcover, so humidity was fairly minimal. Peak hourly humidex 32 at YVR and 38 at YXX.

I may have had it for the first week of May. My feet were ice cold, blood rushed to my head whenever I'd lay down, and overall had very low energy and fatigue. It was very strange because the main symptom was the light-headedness/blood rush and I've never felt that before. Had some pains in the chest as well as the heart area if I was physically active (which I was for a day). No coughing though. If I had a fever, it was very mild.

Sounds about right, One of my friends had the same thing. She had bad light headedness and very cold feet which they call covid toes or something. She had some tightness of a chest, She got tested it was positive. It was about a two week ordeal for her but shes fine. A lot of people with very mild cases report being very tired and fatigued so sounds like you had a very very mild case.

Starting to bubble up out there. Could get interesting. Seeing some distant lightning to my west. I think my dog heard the thunder cause she was barking and I didn’t know why.

Well that was disappointing. A great light show for a good portion of central Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast but nothing much formed east of there.

Weather101 wrote: Thu Jul 30, 2020 8:30 pm Why would that be a joke?... That's a pretty messed up joke. It was not a fun experience, Started off like nothing then your sitting there covered in sweat struggling to breath.
But I was wondering if anyone's families had to deal with it? I had a friend who spent a month in the hospital, but another friend who was only sick for a day with a sore thoart and was fine. Seems like there's different strains going around that hit people differently. A co worker had it twice in a span of 4 months so it's weird.
It’s amazing that you had it considering there’s only been 3600 confirmed cases in BC which makes it a chance of one in 1400!

Not at all, The confirmed cases really means nothing. A lot of people get it without getting tested because they are asymptomatic but yet they pass it on to other people. A lot of people are carriers, A study was done that even tho the states have what like 3 million confirmed cases? The actual number is closer to 50 million due to the lack of testing and people having it without symptoms or barely any symptom's. BC is closer to 100,000 people a study said so don't go off confirmed numbers.

"The number of people in the United States who have been infected with the coronavirus is likely to be 10 times as high as the 2.4 million confirmed cases, based on antibody tests, the head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Thursday.

Is diarrhea a sign of Covid? Or would that be from the bucket of apricots just eaten?

Asking for a friend.

P.S. Today is forecast to be even hotter than yesterday here in Vernon, and yesterday had a humidex of 39.
