All the local lakes in whistler are open, Alta,Lost, Nita,Alpha, don't know why they would've been closed. But I did see signs on the highway indicating that the Cheakamus lake and Garibaldi lake trails were closed. Jofree lakes trail probably also closed. And yet my son did the Lindeman-Greendrop lakes trail near Chilliwack so obviously that was open. So what's the difference?
Went to Lost lake tonight for the evening bite , caught 2 and lost a few but had to leave early as it unexpectedly started to rain , lasted about 40 min.

Might have to go somewhere like that to get away from the growing crowds at crescent beach. It's been getting busier the last couple of years but this year takes the cake.
I wonder how the lakes at whistler will be , leaving tomorrow for a few days.
Enjoy your time in Whistler old chap, yes I'll say Antman no need for social distancing there beach looks nice and cool but the grassy area looks like something out of of desert area nice place sit in the sun with no one around. I take it it's out by the sewage treatment plant by the airport.

Could be due to the hoards of ppl that area gets to keep crowds down and social distancing.
