I’d like to wait until at least the first day of autumn before starting wishcasting season. But maybe that’s just me.
It's called clown range for a reason.

December 4th 1956 was insane in Abbotsford. Moderate-heavy snow with NE winds of 113 km/h. I'd imagine the highway between Chilliwack and Abbotsford was fun to drive on that day...

Still hasn't gone above 21C at YVR yet this month.

The last time that happened thru the first nine days of the month was back in 1993.

The nice thing about this cool start to summer is that it allows me to wait one more year before I spend $9000 on AC for the house.

1955 was the coldest year on record (although 1916 was a close second).

Yeah, 1955 was cold throughout. July had an average high below 20C at YVR.

November '55 was fun...near weeklong top tier arctic blast. Coldest until the legendary 1985 event.

High/lows for the Nov '55 (11th-17th) arctic blast at the old Pitt Meadows station.

I was all excited for summer this year so I could grow tomatoes but I haven't even bothered yet.

I think this year is a write-off for tomatoes as July is looking like it won't warm up. :bang:
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

It's official baby the NHL is back in business, new CBA ratified and return to play protocol. Oh and it's 22.9c in south Sardis.
The 7th annual snowfall contest is canceled due to no snow this winter.

To further on my earlier post on the cool start to July, Abbotsford (YXX) still hasn't gone above 23C so far this month.

The last time the opening 10 days of July were so persistently chilly was way back in 1974! That year, temps finally cracked 23C on the 13th.

Freezing out there this afternoon with the heavy rain showers.

Hopefully this is the last we have to deal with any significant rain until at least mid August.

Not quite as bad as a week ago or so , high of 17° and currently 16° at my place.

How's it looking for the following week, july 20-25 , going to whistler for a few days , weather network showing a couple days of rain , temps 20-24°, thanks.

Are we finally in the clear now?
I know there are no heatwaves upcoming but are we finally going to have sun and at least average temperatures for while? I think the GFS shows another trough around the 21st but hopefully it changes...
