'nother cool, wet and cloudy day here. I love this mixed weather, the sun is so much more appreciated than when it's always sunny and warm.

Has anyone heard from the :sard: ? Was he going on vacation?

The Western Regional Climate Center at the Desert Research Institute has that data.

Alas, their server seems to be down at the moment so I can’t point you to the exact location on it, but it’s fairly obvious from the front page.

Update: Site is back up. Climate summaries are here:

PortKells wrote: Sun Jun 14, 2020 10:52 am So the average high is about a degree below the long term average? What is abnormal about that? I think we've seen so many extreme +anomalies in recent years that people are getting a skewed perception of this climate.
Here in the Okanagan is has been EXTREMELY cold and EXTREMELY wet (by contrast, my mom in the Chilcotin hasn't had more than a sprinkle of rain in the past month, and the fire danger rating is high).

3rd coldest first half of June on record at Kelowna...

To clarify, i was mostly referring to the coast. Sucks to hear about the chilcotin, hopefully were not sucking back smoke in a month.

We better have a summer.

If we don't have a summer I'm gonna go crazy. I NEED sunshine and warmth. Having SAD means I rely on having summer for the sake of my mental health and with covid it's not like I can travel to go find sun if the weather sucks here.

Someone please give me some good news. Even our crappiest summers end up giving us the goods at some point...right?! I'm desperate over here. 😫😢

Good news: The south coast of BC has the driest summers in all of Canada...

Dry doesn't equal sun or warmth.

You'll get some good warmth this week at least. Summer doesn't normally start until July 7th in my view because it's often cool and stormy for two months before then. The last couple years were the exceptions. :)
