Re: April 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Actually the media has done that John, who wants to listen to 24/7 pandemic news on CNN FOX or the canadian news channels, I sure don't. I watch Global news at 6 and that's it and I don't care for the national with Donna Friesen she's another fear mongerer.

Re: April 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Fun fact:
Apparently Burnaby Mountain gets more snow yearly (89.3cm) than Kamloops (63.5cm.) But keep in mind the data for Kamloops is at valley bottom. Since there are significant elevation changes in the city, I'm sure the higher elevation suburbs around the city would get more but still interesting. One thing to note is that the snow likely stays on the ground a lot longer in Kamloops but there is a lot more precipitation on Burnaby Mountain so that probably is why the yearly totals would be higher.

What’s the matter?
We have all done a great job to stop the virus now it’s time to crawl out of this economic disaster before China takes over the worlds economy completely
That’s wat is the most scary about this global pandemic imo

Re: April 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
I don't understand. We've just begun slowing the virus. A deadlier second wave would cause another shutdown and obliterate our economy. This is something that EXPERTS in the field of epidemiology almost unanimously agree is their biggest worry. For reference, look up the Spanish Flu. Although the war obviously compounded that.
China is only taking over the economy because we've completely agreed to it. Do you buy everything local? Do you tell your friends and family about the accumulative effect of everybody buying cheap Chinese stuff? Also, Coronavirus has not benefitted China's economy either, and they are already suffereing their second wave in the North.
Sorry for going off topic everybody. In weather terms, I'm happy to get some rain for the farm here this week, as much as its been super nice lately.

How much rain are we expecting? As much as before or are we down to a few light showers?

Take the GFS modelled amount and divide it by 5.Roberts Creeker wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 9:46 am How much rain are we expecting? As much as before or are we down to a few light showers?

Thanks PortKells. Where do I find the GFS? I usually just read what's posted here but there hasn't been much weather forecasting lately.

Re: April 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
thank you! That's not quite the deluge they were calling for before but better than nothing. I check EC but it's often not very accurate.
