Here's the data for Abbotsford for that period...
Wow! April 2016 was certainly more intense in terms of heat but I think this will be longer duration.

This has got to be some sort of cosmic joke. Potentially the driest stretch in April since basically forever if we don't get rain for another 5 days (likely), and we can't even enjoy it. Sure is nice to look at though. This isolating thing would be a lot more depressing if we had to look at grey wetness 24/7.

I'm going out every single day. You can do it too.

First 15C in YVR. Almost 23C in Squamish and Bella Coola. 20.7C in Race Rocks! :wtf:

The dryness this April is more uncommon than the temps. There's even a fire burning out of control near Squamish at the moment. I was out geocaching with my daughter on easter Monday and the underbrush is already very dry, something i would expect in middle of the summer It will probably remain dry another 5-7 days, we likely won't see rain until some time in the middle of next week. April 2004 was the driest April on record at YVR (15mm) and across the south coast. I remember that year we had an Easter mini heat wave. April 2016 was the warmest. I remember April 1998 was a warm one too. We could break the record for driest but that warmest one is going to be hard to break. The models are showing a slight drop in temps after tomorrow plus there have been some cool nights this April. Some model runs have showed some decent rain after the middle of next week so maybe we won't break the record for driest after all. This pattern has to break down eventually. The 12z GFS (and several previous runs) was super wet, well over 100mm of rain before months end for much of the South Coast (and even more for areas to the North) which if it verifies would give many areas a wetter than normal monthly total! :wtf:

Glad to see there is a pattern change on the way. Makes the sun and heat a lot more enjoyable knowing its not going to have serious drought consequences in the immediate term.

Lotta stuff in the air today, in addition to the smoke, I have seen pollen grains coming down like fine mist, my car has a yellow/green tint to it now, and the little paper-like coverings from the new leaves are also falling today, it's almost like snow.

Another beautiful sunny day, sure happy to hear rain is on the way though.

Read something today Trump says border restrictions could be eased soon. I hope not l feel much better with the border closed scary what could happen if travel resumed we'd be in a situation similar to the U.S. IMO.
