Re: April 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Just 129mm of rain here since the end of January, which was one of the wettest in history. It is drying out substantially especially with these low points we’ve seen with fairly frequent episodes of offshore flow. Saw there was a grass fire along the side of the highway here the other day.
Shawnigan lake managed 2 sub freezing lows this past weekend. -1.0C on Sunday.

I think we will see restrictions begin to relax sometime in May. I think as we’re learning to make social distancing part of our lives a lot of businesses can start to reopen cautiously. BC has done a fantastic job. The death toll is sad but minuscule in the big picture

I hope so. I'm likely off work until they reopen restaurant seating areas, as I work in the food court in the mall.Monty wrote: ↑Tue Apr 14, 2020 9:10 am I think we will see restrictions begin to relax sometime in May. Re: April 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
I don't remember the last time we saw this many consecutive days of 15C or higher in April. I couldn't find any in the last few years either as I was searching through Environment Canada's archive. Of course its not uncommon to see warm temperatures like this in April, but it does seem uncommon to see this many days in a row with such warm temperatures in April.

Re: April 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Remember the double heatwave in April 2016? Temps peaked at 25C on the 7th before crashing for a few days. By the 16th, temps edged closer to 20C once again, hovering close to 30C on the 18th, 19th and 20th.AbbyJr wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2020 1:47 pm I don't remember the last time we saw this many consecutive days of 15C or higher in April. Here's the data for Abbotsford for that period...
