Re: March 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
I would be excited IF a historic snowstorm happened like the euro was showing. Realistically it probably will be watered down substantially but it continues to be very close to something special for the island. (Un)fortunately not much more than a mix for the mainland. 12z euro looks like 5-25cm for southern Vancouver Island

2002 had at least about a foot of snow in Abbotsford in March.Monty wrote: ↑Mon Mar 09, 2020 11:55 am I would be excited IF a historic snowstorm happened like the euro was showing. Re: March 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Yes 2002 was very snowy here as well. Close to 2 feet on the month. Last nights euro showed 1 storm delivering 2ft, again it probably will not play out that way.stuffradio wrote: ↑Mon Mar 09, 2020 11:56 am 2002 had at least about a foot of snow in Abbotsford in March.

Re: March 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
If it’s not going to be warm and springlike it might as well be interestingly cold. Both the gfs and gem ensembles end up getting close to -10C

Re: March 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Could be close if things worked out.
Record lows for Shawnigan lake on the 14-16th are -4.4C, -6.1C and -5.0C respectively. “IF†we got the snow Friday and the skies cleared, some lows in that range would be likely

Re: March 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Next weekend could get very interesting to say the least.
As of now, cold and strong fraser outflow winds with a few cm of snow possible.
