https://www.canada.ca/en/environment-cl ... twork.htmlThe Government of Canada announced on February 28, 2017 the replacement of its weather-radar network. Canada’s radars network currently has 31 radars, including two radars operated in partnership with the Department of National Defence and one owned by McGill University. A contract has been awarded to buy and install 27 new radars by March 31, 2023. The contract also contains options to replace the remaining radars within the same timeframe. As part of this project, the radar network will be expanded by one radar to be installed in the Lower Athabasca region in Alberta.

Unreal how slow they are at getting this done. Pathetic actually. Worst radar coverage for a coastal province.

I know government moves slower than a drunk sloth, but even still, three years to install the first station, and six years before they're done?

So all the radars are done, right?
I notice that they now show snow instead of just rain!

It's too bad that Vernon's brand new radar station went down during this month's snowstorm that struck before the cold snap. It's back up now at least.

When did the Halfmoon Peak radar site come on line? I use it since it's further up island and doesn't make the returns in the valley look like goofy lines that the Aldergrove site shows on Radar scope.
