I would agree with you, but my secret source at HAARP has informed they they will be employing their weather control abilities to deliver reasonable, average summer conditions to the PNW to the chagrin of millions of suffering summer loving people.

Beautiful area. Went snowshoeing around there during a blizzard back in December 2015.

If you haven't done it already, I suggest Poland Lake. Gorgeous (made it last year).

Re: February 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
I once rode a jet stream tailwind across the Pacific which at times was over 300 km/h. We were close to or actually supersonic for those bits, the live tracker on the flight said we were flying at 1300 km/h so not quite that BA flight but close. HKG to YVR in just under 10 hours instead of the typical 11.5, which is the earliest I have ever been for a flight.Forrest Gump wrote: ↑Sun Feb 09, 2020 3:45 pm A *violent* jet stream brought the British Airways’ Boeing 747 across the North Atlantic in less than five (5) hours!

Snowpack looks to be in good shape. Chilly zonal flow.
The biggest rug pull occured with recent models keeping us way wetter then normal. ECMWF weeklies indicate no dry periods anytime soon.

Hmmm...guess Jr. was correct in saying he thought the models were struggling, they actually crapped the bed.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 09, 2020 7:32 pm Snowpack looks to be in good shape. Chilly zonal flow.

Re: February 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
I suppose you're talking about snowshoeing. I've hiked up to Poland lake in the summer a couple of times. Suggested trail time is 3 hrs, I did it in 90 minutes but that was when I was a lot younger. Awesome views of the surrounding mountains. Fishing wasn't bad either but the fish were small.Canada Goose wrote: ↑Sun Feb 09, 2020 6:18 pm If you haven't done it already, I suggest Poland Lake.
